How it all started
I picked up my first guitar around age 13 — though I'd been singing for as long as I can remember. I wasn't chasing a career or a stage. I just wanted something to play along with myself, so I learned a few chords and never put it down.
What started as a handful of easy chords grew into a deep love for the craft. Over the years I worked my way through the songs I grew up hearing — country radio, folk records, the soft rock that filled every living room in the 70s and 80s. Those songs became my vocabulary.
Today I perform solo acoustic guitar and vocals at weddings, anniversaries, private parties, and intimate gatherings throughout Utah. Every event is different, and I take pride in reading the room — knowing when to play softly in the background and when to invite people in.
What makes my performances different
It's just me
No backing tracks, no band, no PA system the size of a truck. Just a guitar, my voice, and the music. That intimacy is the whole point.
I read the room
Every event has its own energy. I pay attention to the crowd, the moment, and the mood — and I adjust accordingly. Soft and romantic during dinner, warmer and more familiar as the evening unfolds.
Songs people actually know
I play the music that moves people — the songs they grew up with, danced to at their first wedding, or heard on the radio with their parents. Familiar music creates connection.
Easy to work with
I keep things simple. No complicated riders, no drama. Just clear communication, reliable setup, and music that makes your event feel exactly the way you imagined.
My approach to your event
When you reach out, I'll ask about your event — the venue, the vibe you're going for, how long you'd like music, and whether there are any songs that are especially meaningful to you. I want to understand what you're hoping for, not just show up and play.
I'm happy to learn specific songs for your event when possible. If there's a song that means something to you and your partner, or a tune that's been in your family for years, let me know. I'll do my best to make it part of the evening.
Setup & equipment
I perform with a quality acoustic guitar and a compact, professional PA system that's perfectly suited for intimate venues — wedding receptions, private dining rooms, backyard gatherings, and similar settings. The sound is warm and natural, never overpowering.
Setup takes about 30 minutes and I arrive early to make sure everything is dialed in before your guests arrive. I bring everything I need — no special requirements from the venue.
